Astrid Automated Tagging Machine

A portable pneumatic tagging machine powered by Avery Dennison

The Astrid is a portable, semi-automated, pneumatic apparel tagging machine designed to replace manual tagging guns with a faster, safer, and more consistent process. This is a tagging solution designed for apparel manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, and distribution centers that need to attach hangtags to garments efficiently while minimizing operator fatigue and product damage.

This machine performs fast and secure attachment of branding, price, size and barcode information with little risk of damage to the product.

Fasteners for Today’s Fabrics & the Environment

The Astrid uses Fine Fabric fastener clips that feature softer polypropylene and nylon filaments and paddles. Fine Fabric fasteners are 25 percent thinner than standard fasteners and have no sharp edges at either end. These fasteners are available in various lengths in paddle or T-end formats.

Fine Fabric fasteners are also available in recycled polypropylene (rPP).  You can select black fasteners made from 95% post-consumer waste or natural fasteners made from 100% post-consumer waste.

Compression Foot & Guard

The spring-loaded clear foot firmly compresses the product on the working surface and keeps the product in place.  It holds most fine silk materials as well as thicker items such as coats and sweaters.

Finger Switch Actuation

The SPUAST-F1 machine is equipped with two safety finger switches for left or right-handed people. These soft tactile push buttons are wide and easy to activate.

Foot Pedal Actuation

The SPUAST-F2 machine uses foot pedal actuation that provides hands-free operation. It allows operators to trigger tagging cycles while keeping their hands free to manage materials and align parts.

Astrid has a Fine Fabric premium stainless steel 0.86" (22 mm) long needle. This thin needle leaves no holes in materials and gives you the opportunity to tag many types of fabrics.

Portable & Lightweight Machine

This machine is portable and can be easily transported with the original TAGSON® box by one operator. Net weight is 17.6 lbs (8 kg). When not in the box, it has a handle at the top allowing a person to move it to another tagging location if required.
