Consumer Packaging - Hosiery

Avery Dennison offers a variety of hosiery packaging solutions.

Our applications include both single and multi-pack socks; those requiring manual, semi-automated or fully automated systems; and those needing either stand-alone or integrated units. We provide a variety of consumer and business friendly systems and fastener solution combinations for hosiery manufacturers to meet the challenges of polybag and thread fastener based packaging.

Our IndES® Elastic Staple® System can eliminate excess packaging and reduce solid waste production compared to conventional packaging methods. For example, using our elastic staple and a header card instead of a poly bag would drastically reduce the amount of plastic that would go into landfills

 

System 1000® Bench Mount Hosiery System

The Avery Dennison System 1000 Bench Mount Hosiery System is a new and innovative packaging solution that can secure socks more efficiently and economically than traditional clip-fed fasteners applied with hand tools or expensive automated production lines. It also features an adjustable plate that varies the penetration depth of the needle. This enables flexibility for a range of material thicknesses and packaging configurations.

The needle diameter is designed to be ultra long — and the smallest diameter needle of any System 1000 solution — so it doesn’t damage material, no matter how thick.

The System 1000 increases an operator’s production speed and decreases the amount of downtime from changeover. And, it reduces repetitive motion and fatigue associated with the use of hand tools.
