Change begins on the inside: from our people, to our products, to the communities we serve. And it’s this change that ultimately serves as our force for good.
Many Avery Dennison staff from Fastener Solutions, based in Fitchburg, MA, helped to make this change for their community. Employees volunteered to assist Habitat for Humanity in North Central Massachusetts in building a new home for a hard-working, low-income family seeking affordable home ownership. Staff spent two days in September and two days in December working on various tasks including installing wallboard and insulation to framing and painting trim. The house is expected to be complete before the end of the year and the Yang family will be moving in.
Our sustainability efforts range from minimizing our burden on the environment with our own operational improvements, to helping our customers reduce packaging waste. This home building activity is an example of how we can help to improve the social footprint on our communities. We’re excited to share our gratitude and appreciation for our volunteers.
